Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Commubee ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
Commubee reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Service Description
Commubee provides a platform for verified residential community networking in the United Arab Emirates. Our service includes:
- Verification of residents through Ejari or tenancy contract documents
- Access to organized WhatsApp community groups
- Community communication channels (general, parents, pets, marketplace, etc.)
- Emergency alerts and community event notifications
The Service is provided on a monthly subscription basis. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as explicitly stated in Section 6.
3. Account Registration and Verification
To use the Service, you must:
- Create an account with accurate and complete information
- Provide valid Ejari certificate or tenancy contract for verification
- Select a monthly subscription plan (Free, 19 AED, 29 AED, or 59 AED per month)
- Complete the verification process as administered by Commubee
- Complete payment for your selected subscription plan (if applicable)
Verification Process: After submitting your documents, our team will review them within 24 hours. Commubee reserves the right to approve, request additional information, or reject any verification request at our sole discretion. Verification decisions are final.
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
4. Subscription and Payment
Monthly Subscriptions: All subscription plans are billed monthly in UAE Dirhams (AED). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled.
Payment: Payment is processed through Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize Commubee to charge your payment method for the subscription amount.
Subscription Changes: You may change your subscription plan at any time. Changes will take effect at the next billing cycle. If you upgrade, you will be charged the prorated difference. If you downgrade, the change will take effect at the next billing cycle.
Free Plan: Users who select the free plan during signup may choose to upgrade to a paid plan after verification. Once a paid subscription is activated, the free plan option is no longer available for that account.
Billing Disputes: Any billing disputes must be raised within 7 days of the charge date. After 7 days, charges are considered accepted.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with UAE law
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration and verification
- Maintain the security of your account
- Respect other community members and maintain appropriate conduct in WhatsApp groups
- Not share your account credentials with others
- Not use the Service to spam, harass, or harm others
- Not attempt to circumvent verification or payment requirements
Prohibited Activities: Commubee reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that engage in prohibited activities, including but not limited to: fraud, misrepresentation, harassment, spamming, or violation of community guidelines.
6. Refund Policy
Refund Eligibility: Refunds are only available under the following circumstances:
- 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with the Service within 7 days of your first payment, you may request a full refund. This guarantee applies only to the first payment and only if you have not been added to WhatsApp groups.
- Service Failure: If Commubee is unable to provide the Service due to technical issues on our end, you may be eligible for a prorated refund.
- Verification Rejection: If your verification is rejected after payment, you may request a refund within 7 days of the rejection notice.
Non-Refundable: Once you have been added to WhatsApp groups, subscriptions are non-refundable. No refunds will be provided for:
- Subscriptions after the 7-day guarantee period
- Accounts that have been added to WhatsApp groups
- Accounts terminated for violation of these Terms
- Partial months or unused portions of subscriptions
Refund Process: To request a refund, contact us at mail@commubee.com within the applicable time period. Refunds will be processed within 14 business days.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Commubee and protected by UAE and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as documents and messages), but grant Commubee a license to use, store, and process such content as necessary to provide the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
Service Availability: Commubee strives to provide reliable service but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Third-Party Services: The Service integrates with third-party services (including WhatsApp and Stripe). Commubee is not responsible for the availability, functionality, or content of third-party services.
Community Content: Commubee does not control or endorse content posted by users in WhatsApp groups. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other community members.
Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Commubee's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim. Commubee shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
By You: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for the remaining period.
By Commubee: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Termination may result in loss of access to the Service and WhatsApp groups.
Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Commubee may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, specifically the laws of the Emirate of Dubai.
Jurisdiction: Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Dispute Resolution: Before initiating legal proceedings, parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes will be resolved through the appropriate Dubai courts.
Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UAE Federal Law No. 5 of 1985 (Consumer Protection Law) and Dubai Consumer Protection Law.
11. Changes to Terms
Commubee reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
If you do not agree to modified Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and cancel your subscription.
